In their first league game City proved tough opponents, with determined defending throughout the match, and scoring a breakaway goal with just minutes remaining. However Square managed to level the score to retrieve a point from the game. It was now time to meet again....

This was the second meeting for these two sides, who met a few weeks earlier at St. Albans, in a pre-season friendly, when City claimed victory with the only goal of the game in the final minutes.
This league meeting resulted in a similar match, with City having a well organised, resilient defence to contain the pressure from the Square attacks.
